# An AI agent for Google Meet that speaks, presents and takes part

A Mainroom agent joins Google Meet as a participant with a camera tile and a voice. It listens to the room, speaks when addressed, presents on the shared screen, and emails a recap afterwards.

## Invite it

Add the agent's address to the Google Calendar event (for example `demo@mainroom.ai` to try the demo agent), or forward the invite to it. For a recurring meeting, invite it to the series once. It joins at the start time.

## Admit it

The agent appears as a request to join. Since spring 2026, Google Meet can hold some guests in a second list of join requests whose default action is Deny. If you do not see the agent in the main list, open the people panel, find that second list, and admit it from there.

## Turn on captions

Click the captions (CC) button. Captions are how the agent knows who is speaking by name. If the agent runs the meeting in another language, its captions follow its language on Meet.

## Let it present

To use slides, the whiteboard, images or a live demo, the host must allow participants to share their screen.

## What it can do in Meet

Answer questions out loud, put slides and tables on the screen, teach on a whiteboard, run a live browser demo, look things up in your connected tools, open an anonymous intake for the room, coach you privately on a companion page, and send a recap with decisions and owners.

## Frequently asked questions

**Do I need to install anything in Google Meet?**

No. The agent joins as a regular participant from a calendar invite. There is no app, plugin or admin install.

**Can everyone see the agent?**

Yes. It appears in the participant list with its own name and camera tile, and the platform shows its standard notice. It never joins silently.

**How do I remove it?**

Tell it to leave and it says goodbye and leaves, or remove it from the call like any participant, or take its address off the invite.
